Your name: Bev Stupek
Your bio: Bev is the development officer for Turtle Bay Exploration Park and serves as the co-chair of the Community Engagement Committee for The Women’s Fund. She believes that the power of collective philanthropy is inspiring and is proud to be a longtime member of The Women’s Fund.
Bev has been a member of Redding East Rotary for more than 15 years and has served two years as assistant governor for the regional Rotary area, in addition to formerly serving nine years on the board of the Shasta Union High School District. Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self” resonates with Bev, who has devoted three decades to the world of nonprofit organizations after almost a decade in broadcast news as a reporter/anchor at KVIQ-TV in Eureka and KSBW-TV in Salinas.
Bev and her husband, Sonny, have made Redding their home for 30 years, having moved from the Monterey Bay area, where Bev left TV news to become a fundraiser for Watsonville Hospital and Sonny taught at North Monterey County High School. Bev was hired as the fundraiser for Turtle Bay in 1999 and Sonny has taught and coached at Shasta College since 1986. Continue reading “Member Moment: Bev Stupek”
