Name: Kay Patten
Bio: We moved to the North State in 1981 and were blessed to be able to raise our family in Palo Cedro. After 21 years there we moved to Redding where our two children, Kristi Davis and Michael Patten now live with their families. We continue to be very active with our family, and are happy to be a part of our grandchildren’s busy lives.
For many years I was an insurance agent at AAA, after leaving there in 2003 I became a jewelry appraiser and enjoyed working at the Goldmart. Over the years I have been a part of many community groups. Some I’ve served on are the Library Commission, the Women’s Fund Membership Committee, and am a past president of the Palo Cedro Chamber of Commerce. I enjoy working with the Reading Rotarians, and most recently I became a Women’s Fund Cabinet member. My mother taught me the importance of volunteering and supporting the community and I am happy to follow in her footsteps. It has also been wonderful to see my children continue my mother’s legacy by giving back to their community.
I love living in Redding. I enjoy boating, kayaking, hiking and most things outdoors. We love to travel and we are grateful for so many wonderful trips we have been able to take. I am excited to be part of The Women’s Fund. It is an amazing organization, one that is truly committed to supporting our community with grants, educational programs and ongoing philanthropy.
